When can I expect my patient’s results?
You can expect results the next day, in many cases before you even step foot back in the office.
Respiratory Panels are ready by 9:30AM and all other testing will be available by 3:30PM.

Universal Viral Transport for Viruses
Mycoplasmas and Ureaplasmas
Refrigerate within 8 hours. Specimens are stable for 48 hours at room temp or 72 hours when refrigerated.
COPAN Fecal Swab (Orange Top) or swab in Cary Blair Media
Specimens are stable for 48 hours at room temp or 72 hours when refrigerated.
3 BD Yellow Top (SST) Tubes & 2 BD
Purple Top (EDTA) Tubes
1. Allow twenty minutes after collection for tubes to clot
2. Centrifuge yellow top tubes
3. Refrigerate all tubes
STI + UTI
BD Yellow/Black Top (Boric Acid)
Refrigerate immediately after collection. Specimen is stable for up to 48 hours at 2-8°C.
COPAN eswab in Liquid Amies or Liquid Amies Media w/ nylon swab
Specimens are stable for 48 hours at room temp or 4°C.
Refrigerate after collection if possible.
How accurate is the respiratory panel?
The accuracy of the RTM panel was 98.41% for pre-amp and 100% for non-pre-amp across all assays and controls tested.
The assay specificity of the RTM panel was 99.40% for pre-amp and 99.84% for non-pre-amp across all assays and controls tested.
The overall reproducibility, which included day-to-day as well as operator-to-operator variation, was 99.35% for pre-amp and 100% for non-pre-amp across all assays tested.
